  6. The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool.

  7. Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.

Aha. Now, Kierkegaard. Once again, the Philistine (me) had to look up the source. Nice choice, bro.

  8. For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories.

Once again, my friend, you have put up a beautiful quote. It applies to me as it applies to us all. And it sounds a little kinky to boot. (Bah-dump-bump) And it was by Plato. I'm a philistine, so I looked it up.

  9. No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Ummm... it's just a quote by Socrates bruh. Chill.

    3. ThickRick

We Philistines, devoid of the classics, had no idea that Socrates was so (flex) hardcore! (Beastmode!)

Well you can't have wisdom without knowledge.

    3. Jocaflo

Yes, but I mean wisdom comes mainly from practical knowledge. It's not something you can posibly acquire in books. The safest way for you to become wise is through living your life and experiencing a lot of things.

    4. LagrangianPt

I agree. “Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.”

  12. If i have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants
